# How to Get Argentine Citizenship by Investment, Step by Step

The application path set by Decree 524/2025: preparing, applying to APCI, government due diligence, the DNM decision, investing and the passport.

## Steps

1. **Prepare** (Pending): Gather identity documents and the paper trail for the money: where it came from and how it reached you. Due diligence starts here.
2. **Apply to APCI** (Official): The application goes to the Agencia de Programas de Ciudadanía por Inversión, the agency created to run the programme.
3. **Due diligence** (Official): APCI requests reports from the intelligence service, the Financial Intelligence Unit, RENAPER, the criminal records registry and the security ministry.
4. **Recommendation** (Official): APCI sends a reasoned recommendation to the Dirección Nacional de Migraciones, which grants or refuses citizenship.
5. **Invest and naturalise** (Pending): The contribution or bond is completed, citizenship is granted, and the applicant can then apply for an Argentine passport.
